The Problem
The business, a manufacturer of computer-driven laboratory equipment, had developed an instrumentation system to automate the operation of their multiplexed molecular diagnostic tests. The program could achieve significant commercial usage by providing ease of workflow and volume throughput requirements demanded by higher volume diagnostic laboratories. They needed a method to promote the product to prospective clients all over the world.
The Solution
The system was easier to show visually in action than to explain it in words, especially when English may not be the first language of the client. We produced a video that demonstrated the system in action. The video was available as a DVD for trade shows and meetings and as a web clip on the company website.
Another video was produced at a later time for the purpose of introducing the company and its staff to a diagnostics laboratory in Brazil that had bought the Sirocco technology.
Results
By using the video, the company was able to achieve recognition for their system while reaching a much wider audience worldwide.
Testimonial
Genera Biosystems needed a video for our website that showed our new automation system. John was brought in to do the job and produced a 3 minute video that did a better job of showing the instrumentation at work than I originally imagined. What I appreciate most is that John caught on right away to what we needed and brought his own ideas to bear on how to get it done. It has really paid off for us, as we have several new customers and contacts we wouldn’t have obtained without the video. – Karl Poetter, Chief Scientific Officer, Genera Biosystems.
Case Study 2
The business owner had designed and had built a trailer that would carry 500 kg. It was beautifully designed – simple to fold for storage and easy to assemble for use. The fold up trailer can be used to carry garden materials, furniture and equipment of all sorts. In fact, the fold-up trailer can carry anything that a normal trailer can and was easy to fold away and store in a shed or beside a car in the garage.
A video was produced to highlight the carrying abilities of the trailer and its ease of assembling and folding away. The video was used to promote the trailer to the widest possible audience.

Case Study 3
A celebrant training service wanted to produce a DVD as an aid to their training program. The DVD would include all the elements of a wedding ceremony, starting with the first meeting with the bridal couple and concluding with an actual wedding service. The many variants of ceremonies were also included. The completed DVD was a complete resource not only for celebrants in training but also for bridal couples.
As well as producing the DVD we also completed a promotional video that was used as a marketing tool on website, You Tube and Facebook.
